Why use Angel Productions as your independent, external mediator?
Our
principal mediator is the founder and proprietor of Angel
Productions,
Stephen Engelhard. Steve produced and directed all of the
videos and DVDs you will find elsewhere on this site, including some of
the UK’s most respected resources about equality, diversity, bullying,
harassment and people management. He has a wealth of experience of
negotiation, people management, dispute resolution and problem solving,
from his past work in journalism and television programme making, his
current role running Angel Productions and his experience as chair of
governors at a London school.
Steve has completed an accredited training course in workplace mediation
and qualified with a certificate from the National Open College Network.
Our
associate mediators are also fully trained and qualified, draw on a
wide range of professional experience, and reflect diversity in age,
gender and ethnicity.
Angel Productions is registered with
the Civil Mediation Council, providing you with reassurance that we meet
all the CMC's requirements. We adhere to the
European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
If you would like to discuss using mediation to solve a problem between
two people in your organisation,
get in touch by email or by completing
the
contact form. We will contact you for an initial conversation (which
will be free of charge, confidential and without obligation) to assess
whether it is a suitable case for mediation, and whether you wish to
contract us. If we go ahead:
- We will provide information about the process for the parties to the
dispute
- We will hold confidential individual meetings with each of the parties
to clarify the issues and verify that they wish to proceed with
mediation
- We will facilitate a structured, joint mediation meeting between the
parties, to explore the issues with the aim of reaching agreements they
will sign about their future working relationship
- We will offer the parties a follow-up meeting a few weeks later, to
check that their agreements are working out in practice.
Usually, all the meetings except the follow-up will take place within a
single day (charged at Angel Productions’ highly competitive rate) and
then everyone can get back to work!
